Data & Privacy

• Location — your GPS coordinates are processed locally on your device and are never stored or transmitted to any server operated by this application.
• Weather data is retrieved from Open-Meteo. No personal data is included in requests.
• Search queries are sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim. No personal data is included.
• Route directions are calculated via the OSRM public API. No personal data is included.
• Radar data is retrieved via a Cloudflare Worker proxy using the Rainbow.ai Tiles API.
• No cookies. No analytics. No tracking of any kind.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo — weather forecasts (open-meteo.com)
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — maps and geocoding (openstreetmap.org)
• OSRM — route calculation (project-osrm.org)
• Rainbow.ai — precipitation radar tiles (rainbow.ai)
• Met Éireann — observed radar data (met.ie)
• CARTO / CartoCDN — map tiles (carto.com)
• Each third-party service may log IP addresses per their own privacy policy.

Data Accuracy

Weather data is sourced from numerical weather prediction models including the UK Met Office UKV 2km model. Forecasts are indicative only and may not reflect actual conditions. Wind, road, and height assessments provided by this application are for general guidance only and must not be used as the sole basis for any safety-critical decision. Always follow your organisation's health and safety procedures and the judgement of a qualified professional on site.
