Data & Privacy

• Location — your device GPS coordinates are processed locally in your browser and are not stored, logged, or transmitted to any server.
• Weather — coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo to retrieve forecast data. No personal data is included in these requests.
• Route geocoding — search queries are sent to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim API. No personal data is included.
• Route directions — calculated via the OSRM public routing API. No personal data is included.
• Recent searches are saved to your device localStorage only. No cookies are used. No analytics or tracking scripts are present in this application.

Third-Party Services

Open-Meteo, OpenStreetMap, and OSRM are independent services. Each may log IP addresses and request metadata in accordance with their own privacy policies. This application has no control over such logging.

Data Accuracy

Weather data is sourced from Open-Meteo using the UK Met Office UKV 2 km model (UKMO), the same model used by Met Éireann and the UK Met Office for official forecasts. Forecasts, road surface temperatures, and driving condition assessments are indicative only and may not reflect actual conditions. Always exercise your own judgement. Do not use this application as the sole basis for safety-critical decisions.
